Courtesy call from the newly accredited Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Seychelles H.E. Mr. Hatem Yousri Hosni.

The meeting provided an opportunity to formally welcome the Ambassador and to exchange views on strengthening bilateral cooperation. Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration, including capacity-building opportunities for law enforcement agencies, cybersecurity and cybercrime, border control as well as other fields of mutual interest.

 

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to fostering closer ties and enhancing cooperation in support of national and regional security.

 

The meeting was also attended by the Principal Secretary for Homeland Security Ms. Sheryl Vengadasamy, the Principal Secretary for Civil Affairs Mr. Allain Volcere , Executive Director, Ms. Michelle Sabury and the Acting Commissioner of Prisons, Mr. Antoine Desnousse.
